Jill’s Blog
Welcome to my blog, a gathering place for stories, poetry, creativity, and the beautifully messy adventure of living a creative life.
Here you’ll find short stories, poems, thoughts on writing and art, and reflections on both the light and shadow that inspire our creative journeys. Whether you’re an artist, writer, dreamer, reader, or simply someone who enjoys creative expression, I hope you’ll find something here that sparks your imagination.
I love hearing from fellow creatives, so please feel free to share your thoughts and join the conversation.
And if you haven’t already, I invite you to join my email list to receive updates, new stories, and occasional behind-the-scenes glimpses at Jill.Studio.
Where do your story ideas come from?
From everyday moments, unusual historical events, vivid dreams, and the questions that refuse to leave me alone. Inspiration can come from almost anywhere. I also tend to notice odd behaviors in people that inspire me.
Why do so many of your projects explore both light and dark themes?
Life isn’t all sunshine or shadows—it’s a mixture of both. I enjoy creating stories and artwork that explore beauty, hope, struggle, resilience, and the complexity of being human.
What is your creative process like?
Every project begins with quiet curiosity. Some start with a single image, others with a character, a question, or a feeling. At times, the story or poem will flow so quickly through my mind that I can barely keep up. From there, I sketch, research, write, revise, and let the work evolve naturally.
What are you working on right now?
I usually have several projects in progress at once, including books, artwork, coloring books, and creative experiments. Creativity keeps life interesting!
How can I support your work?
The best ways to support my work are by joining my email list, sharing my content, leaving reviews, following my creative journey.

My First Post.
Do you know that feeling you get when you start something new? Starting school, a new job, a marriage, motherhood… that strange little blob sitting in your stomach, paired with the slight twitch in your smile. It says everything, doesn’t it? I am here. I am doing a…
